Produced in December 2003. The 341 is a versatile last from the core collection, with a medium round toe. Considered a traditional last from the core collection, the 341 has proven to be an excellent last for both formal business attire and smart casual wear. Long, but not too long, round, but not too round. Derby shoes are probably the most versatile of all shoe styles, bridging the gap between smart and casual wear with ease. The Derby Brogue is easily the most recognizable variation, made popular with the introduction of the Country Brogue which was developed for practical uses in the fields. The sequence of operations in making a Derby differs from that of an Oxford. The inner and outer quarters are sewn to a tab on either side of the upper and the tongue is cut as part of the upper and is not a separate element. Often referred to as "open lacing".
